Either sarcasm or a joke attempt, both failed

I was very surprised by the number of smokers in Washington. I don't have numbers, but I know I can't walk through a parking lot, or stand in a line, without smelling smoke on at least one person.

Smoking Rates Remain Highest in Kentucky, Lowest in Utah

According to this Gallup poll (which is certainly NOT scientific, but it's the best I could find) Washington has one of the lower rates of smoking.

That's what I expected. I live in a farming community north of Seattle, so maybe that's why it's high here.

You do know that it's still illegal to light up a joint in public, right? So why would we care about marijuana smoke?

I don't think I'd like marijuana smoke anymore than cigarette smoke. Also I wasn't born yet in the 1970s, however cigarette smoke has ALWAYS bothered me. Not sure what exactly you are trying to ask.

Most apartment complexes don't allow smoking indoors or near entrances. Smoking bans generally apply to all forms of smoking including hookah and marijuana.

You also have to look at things like volume though. Colorado did some analysis to figure out that the average pot smoker would use about 3.5 oz per year. Cigarette smokers use an average of somewhere around 3/4 oz per DAY since it is so addictive.
