Question Cloudiest City?

Hi. I'm writing a book and i'm not sure what city would be the cloudiest city in washington to base it in. Anyone know what city has the least sun?

hahahahahahahahahahaha ... etc ... great question ... where to start? So many dreary places, so little time to list ...

Sorry for that ... I'll make it easy for you ... ALL of Washington State ranks very high on the cloudy list ... but the rain-forest towns on the west coast are the worst of the worst ... look at a map and pick one: Forks to Hoquiam to Westport. However, none of those qualify as "cities" — too small. If you want a cloudy city, look at ANY around Puget Sound. South Sound is slightly worse than north Sound ... but so slight a difference as to be insignificant. Olympia, our capitol, is particularly rainy in addition to being cloudy. Seattle is perfectly dismal, if you want the big town feel for your story. You can look up the sunshine charts for any cities and towns on City-Data pages by location name.

Good luck. Have fun writing. Don't let the gray get you down (unless it's a story about suicide).

I believe Bellingham is the cloudiest place in WA that would qualify as a city. At least according to the sunshine graphs here on city-data.

The answer is Forks my friend in fact the book twilight by Stephanie Meyer is set there because of that fact. I've been looking around because I'm writing a vampire novel myself and if you'll take my opinion here it is, go with Cold Bank Alaska. It's cloudy there 304 days out of the year! By the way what's your book about?
