Sonics is here in Vancouver washington. Will miss it when we move to snohomish county. Im originally from yakima so we will definitely hit it up when we are home visiting family. Does anyone know when that is due to open?? or if they even broke ground on it??? Never been to I/O but I know the church I attend here they take the kids that are moving up from middle school to highschool there every year in aug....but with the gas prices I don't think they will make the trip this year ... would be nice if it ened up here in the beautiful pacific northwest.

Im on the job!
Thanks to your comment, I now know that as of THIS particular instant, there is only Sonic in Spokane (been there for 10+ years), Tri Cities (about 6 months), and Vancouver (who knows how long).
But I did read a headline that said Sonic was planning to expand to Yakima, Wenatchee, and Walla Walla (At least I think it was those... ask me to look into it, and Ill make sure), and the Seattleites jus stated about a 6 posts back that they are also moving to Puyallup and some other Seattle area Suburb.
The one in Yakima is to be on Nob Hill, wherever that is
Thats the latest from this corner of the world

You would be surprised what us ex-Californians would do for said burger.
When you live there, you get used to it and it becomes everyday life. When placed in this I&O-less world, however, and you get a BIG change.
My dad drools at the mention of I&O, and everyone from California is tormented in some kind of bizzare hell.
Everytime were in SoCal, we remain faithful, but glare with envy at our relatives, who have the option of eating sad burgers at any time in the day.
One day, you too will have such wisdom, and perhaps ears like mine

OH TRUST ME...I know ALL about I&O burgers. I eat them when I visit Phoenix, but a single, fries and a coke. Was questioning the TWO double doubles and TWO fries AND a shake. Heart attack on a plate. They are my fave burgers, but lordy that's a lot in one sitting.

I miss In-N-Out sometimes, but I definitely don't crave it. When I go to California I may or may not stop at In-N-Out. What I don't like about the chain is that it's owned by a zealot Christian and that there's bible verses discreetly placed on their packaging. Also there are very long lines.
What I think is ridiculous is seeing people here in Washington with an In-N-Out bumper sticker on their car or wearing an In-N-Out t-shirt!

I&O is, hands-down, the BEST burger joint out there! We had them in AZ, and I MISS them. Everything is made fresh: not a freezer on site. It is a family-owned business, not a big corporation. They are welcome where-ever I am!

Oh wow, here we are in Southern Utah, just got In n Out a couple months ago, and now moving, at least temporarily to western WA...Elma, to be exact..we have a small mobile home there....
grew up in SoCal, In n out is part of the vocabulary and now we are going to be suffering again
One of our sons lives in Sacramento area, guess we will have to get our fix when we visit him now.
Darn.
I'll have a double double animal style, wellies and a chocolate shake, please!
