everett vs bremerton vs cali and MORE! (Seattle, Shoreline: rent, crime)

We are moving to everett next summer and would like to get a jump start on INFO! We just moved to san diego in august and although the sun is great and there is much to do its not exactly what i thought it would be (traffic traffic more traffic..no bus system for my kids to get to school so im driving...IN TRAFFIC all the time!!) I want a peaceful like and good schools. I was just wondering if Everett is a better choice than Bremerton and also if Everett is the place we go...where is the BEST place to live (within an hour drive to Everett)? Most importantly where are the best schools in the area?

Just curious, as we are looking to move to Washington from California as well, why Everett? We are having a hard time trying to decide where... I think we are leaning toward Port Orchard or Shoreline. From some of the other post it seems like Bremerton is kinda icky.

Moved from St.Croix to California then to Bremerton..the only other place we considered was Alki Beach.I love love love Bremerton and would be more than happy to show anyone the in's and out's.We live in a storybook area and I thank god every day for showing me this place.
That being said don't live in Bremerton if you plan to commute to Seattle.Bremerton is the first to lose ferry service when any other area has a problem with their ferry they take ours.
You have to pay to leave Bremerton and it is getting higher everyday-Ferry or Tacome narrows bridge pick your poison.
Crime is always happening 24/7 here
Rent is not cheaper here than in King or Pierce county,if you see a place that looks beautiful in pics with low rent its a sh+t hole and your home and car will be broken into on a regular basis pretty much just as bad as downtown Seattle or worse.
Then everywhere you go people ask if your in the Navy and offer you some discount which sounds good but gets annoying quickly.
I'm not crazy I know I said I love Bremerton and I do..I live in Illahee 98311 which has a Bremerton zip code but is not considered part of Bremerton-safe,quiet,family friendly,nice beach views forever of the sound,mt.rainier,port orchard,Bainbridge is,Seattle ferry,boats galore,beautiful nature and turn of the last century home restored along the shoreline-so I love my Bremerton that is not in Bremerton but most of Bremerton is a sh+t hole and you won't like it.....
