Default Where to live while working in Everett

I know there are a lot of posts on stuff like this, but I'm looking for a town that is awesome for hiking/biking. I'm not very country, but I've been stuck in the middle of cities where I have to drive a good 10 miles to get to a green patch of grass. I have two dogs and it's not fun to take them for walks anymore. It should be within 15 miles of Mukilteo/Everett. Does anyone know of a good town? We're looking at renting, not buying. Please help!! Thanks

How about the town of Snohomish? Not at all far from Everett, with a real country feel.

Yes, Snohomish has the Centennial trail for walking/biking (it's an old railroad right of way).
