Default Sights and Sites Along I-90

We recently took a driving trip from Port Ludlow to South Dakota. I'm always making notes about things we see along the road but don't always follow up on them. This is the first trip we've taken since I discovered city-data folks.

On I-90 near milepost 122 there was a group of small square or rectangular structures that looked like plywood. Any of you know what those were?

At milepost 164, the Dotson Road exit, there was a field of crops with bright yellow or lime flowers. Anybody know what that is?

Thanks, y'all.

I saw those plywood structures on my last trip to Seattle and wondered what they were too. I think that's government owned military property along that stretch of highway.
As for the bright yellow crops, I think that might be canola. When it's in bloom it's very bright greenish yellow.
