Relocating to Eastern Washington
Aloha,
I am living in Hawaii, and am thinking of moving to Roslyn WA to
be closer to family. I hear they are building a large resort called
Suncadia, and as I am in the resort industry I would like to find out any
information regarding the resort, and living in the area.

The Seattle Times today reported that a $500 million resort is planned for the Yakima Valley (the Vineyards).
Good luck,
Maggie

Roslyn...cute town but not a lot of industry. Suncadia might provide a lot of jobs but from what i've heard from the natives, they hate it! It raises their already high property taxes.

Suncadia is supposed to be hiring 300 seasonal and year-round employees this spring. Their website has specific job information. I know they are trying to hire a lot of locals, so that people feel more included/part of Suncadia, rather than invaded by it.

It's really, really, really expensive. The wages do not match either; they are pretty low and the job market is not real hot. I would look at Ellensburg. It's not as expensive and has more jobs. Great town too!

I can confirm that Suncadia is being built outside Roslyn, to me it clashes with old historic Roslyn but whatever. I have not priced properties but some of the older houses in Roslyn would have to be pretty cheap to make me think about buying them.
I didn't notice much in terms of stores near Roslyn. E-burg may indeed be a better bet.
