You can calculate the mileage using the mileage legend on your maps.

Do you have any info on the life style of people living there? We are moving there this summer with two kids ages 11 and 8 and are wondering if there are kids their age there and how the schools are.

I LOVE Birch Bay. My mom and dad used to take us up there every summer when we were kids. I have wonderful memories of sandcastle building contests, clam digging, crabbing, and of course swimming.

There is a huge waterpark there, go-cart racing, mini golf (owned by a cute old couple), fantastic candy shop, bike rentals. Not many restaurants to choose from--there is a burger joint and a Thai place off the top of my head.

The state park is a gorgeous place to camp and the overall scenery is lovely in my opinion--great place to take photos.

Also, I'm pretty sure they still have old car shows up there with tons of classic hot rods from the 50s and 60s. Very cool!

Lastly, Birch Bay is only about 15-20 minutes north of Bellingham. Hop, skip, and a jump as they say.

Have fun there
