Wink Clear Cut disaster

This is one reason (and graphic example) of why clear cutting forests is ill advised and wrong:

GameHog9 will become famous soon enough
I think they should leave the Seattle area untouched. The urban vibe is fine and all, but clearing away the nature is going to turn Seattle into another LA. Ugh.

The combination of city and tree is one of the reasons I like Seattle/Portland

Guess I'm gonna have to move to town and get a HS internet connection.... That stuff is hard to find in the "Scenic Gorge Area" (ruled by enviro 'special interests'... I DIDN'T say Nazi's..., but they do watch your place with aerial surveillance and binoculars) no Broadband / DSL / stuff like 'dishes and towers' frowned upon (illegal) / poor or no cell reception.

we do have a very nice, pay by the byte dial-up available (When the mice haven't eaten the wires somewhere between here and town)

Wink Lots of mud

This a very graphic video example of the effects of mud and landslides from KIRO tv. The reason for this is not discussed, but results impressive:
