Tacoma Hotel Question (Ruston: rental, hotels, safe area)

I have a job interview in Tacoma at St. Joseph's Hospital, and I'm wondering what hotels are not too far away and are in a safe area? Hotels where parking a rental will be safe is a plus. Thanks in advance.

Maybe expensive, but the Hotel Murano in downtown Tacoma is in a nice area and I have heard great things about it.

MultiCare usually puts their interviews up at the Silver Cloud. Right on the water, close to the hospital, great walking/running trail.

The closest hotels are going to be Hotel Murano and the Courtyard by Marriott. Both good choices. Both in safe neighborhoods, only about a 2 minute drive to St. Joes.

Silver Cloud Inn is another good choice on the Ruston Way waterfront, but it is outside of Downtown so you can add a few more minutes to the drive.

For more a more affordable hotel in Downtown there is the Best Western Tacoma Dome Hotel.

If you are from Oregon, B.C. or Washington take a look at the specials at Hotel Murano. Their Staycation package makes the hotel pretty affordable.

Does anyone have any experience with the La Quinta Inn near the Tacoma Dome? This was one of the hotels mentioned from the hospital, and I'm on a grad student budget.

I stayed at that hotel when I drove over there to take my daughter to a concert at the Tacoma Dome. It was very close to the freeway - kind of noisy, but not bad. We had an Audi and left it parked in the parking lot with no trouble.

Thanks for the replies. I ended up choosing the Silver Cloud for more than La Quinta in cost but not as much as Courtyard or Murano. Seems like it was the best option for me. We'll see how it is in a few weeks!
