The name of the test most kids in Washington take is the WASL.

I went to The Bellingham Herald: Your Local News Source for Bellingham, Lynden, Ferndale and Whatcom County Washington and searched for "WASL scores" and found some articles you might be interested in.

One was "State names four Schools of Distinction in Whatcom County" at Bellingham, Whatcom County Local News | Bellingham Herald

Bellingham has a number of strong schools - Sehome historically was noted as being the best out of the high schools, but Bellingham High School in more recent years is now giving Sehome a run for its money.

Blaine is much smaller of course, but is also a strong district - and both districts have received recognition for their achievements in both academics, athletics, and extra curriculars.

The Blaine music program is incredible - one of the best in the State.
