I'm a Bigfoot skeptic, but I like to hike in wooded environmnets.

Anyay, you do not have to visit the PNW (although it's well worth it from a hiking viewpoint) to experience 'Bigfoot Country", whatever that is.

See map above.
Well, here in Michigan there have been many sightings. One of the more recent was just a few miles from where my parents have a cabin and I have spent a good part of my life. I know its a longshot, but with the vast expanse of woods up that way it is possible. We do a lot of camping and usually try to get places near the national forests. It just makes it that much more fun when you are sitting by the fire late at night and hear that strange sound, or branch breaking in the woods.

Yes, it does.

It's possible, but not probable. In my very humble opinion.

Just that it has no bottom and is the gateway to the Underworld. None of the people who drowned there have ever come back up, except for the Soap Lady and those folks who's car was recently discovered last year who went off the road into the lake in 1932.

One of the best Bigfoot stories is from Gray's Harbor County.

Here's a link to it: Bigfoot Story: "Cowman of Copalis Beach, Washington"

Back about 35 years ago, when the steam mill outside of Forks was running full tilt, some of the night crew swore they saw a couple of Bigfoots swimming in the pond.

Nobody believed them and assumed that if they really saw anything, it was probably bears.

But most folks just attributed it to working double shifts cranked up on speed.

The same guys swore that some of the logs had faces and screamed when they went through the big saw.

I was going to mention the Soap Lady too. One of the more interesting stories on the Peninsula....
