I just drove thru the neighborhood described above, and for a half mile or so from say 176th to where The Arches tavern used to be (not sure what it is called now) I seen more police cars of every variety than I have ever witnessed before in my life!
There were fire engines, ambulances, state patrol, sheriff cars, and city polcie cars. Many of all. I came home and switched on the TV looking for news, and then searched the internet, which brought me here.
IF anyone knows what is happening in Spanaway tonight (Friday night, early sat. morning) please let me know, cuz I am sure wondering what could have brought out such a strong police response.
I don't know where you are moving from, but if you are from back east, you may find the worst areas in Washington to be mild comared to some of the bad areas back there. I am from Ohio, and Washington at it's worst is very mild comparably.
Spanaway has a lot of meth addicts, and some very shady looking characters walkin the streets in the very area you describe. There IS a lot of crime in that area, and a pit bull may be just the remedy you need.
