Default Moving to Tacoma, can I ask some gerneral questions from you locals.

Thanks for reading this post.

We love to go motor boating. Where is the best place for the money to rent a boat for 2 hours. I googled it, but sometimes you can get so overwhelmed with too much info, that I thought I would just ask you guys for your opinions.

how about bike riding. Any great bike paths...is Tacoma bicycle friendly.

How about places to take a nice walk? Lots of trees, ferns and other vegetation to look at?

Any great places to go Hiking (easy to moderate)

Only place I've ever rented a boat is Gig Harbor Boat Rentals. Nice boats for a good price. There are some great places to ride in Tacoma (Ruston Way and Pt Defiance being my two favorites). Overall it is fairly bike friendly, but most roads don't have bike lanes. Most drivers are good at sharing the road though.
Pt Defiance has some great dirt trails along the cliffs over the water and through an old growth forest that is great for walking. You're also about 50min from Mt Si which is a tough hike but well worth it, and about 75min from Mt Rainier which has hikes of all levels.

North Tacoma, around the Proctor, Old Town and University of Puget Sound areas are fairly bike friendly. Pt. Defiance is a nice place to ride, as well as do some hiking. There is tons of outdoors stuff to do right around this area. Google is your best friend in finding it...

If you have any other questions on neighborhoods or anything feel free to ask.

msservos is on a distinguished road
I'd personally recommend the Chambers Bay Golf Course (the walking trail is free and open to the public) in University Place. Truly a miracle of nature! (OK, OK...with some help from humans too )
