Default commute Port Orchard to Tacoma ?

I am pondering a position in Tacoma and my wife in Bremerton. Where is an affordable place in between or nearer to Bremerton. Is traffic bad on 16 into Tacoma from P.O. in the mornings? Any helpful input is appreciated.

If you're heading to downtown Tacoma, it'll get tight near where 16 meets I5, but you can get around that. From Port Orchard across the bridge won't be any problem at all. Olalla is a bit closer to Tacoma and is more affordable than Port Orchard.
