HeronBeach is on a distinguished road
Default Twisp

Thinking of moving to Twisp area. We know its a very small town and dead in the winters. Also aware of that winters can be extreme. We are looking for a small town to raise our two boys. We love the outdoors, and have gone to Methow valley since we where in diapers. What do you all think..good place to raise kids? People friendly? Would love to hear from the locals or people who are really know the area.

I've only visited Twisp, and that was a few years back. But it seemed like a real nice town, and has an absolutely awesome bakery.

Short Trips: Small-town charm is alive and well in Twisp

When I was working it was part of my territory. Nice people ranging the local residents, counter-culture refugees to rich folks from the coast.

There is a lot of two years and out due to the cold winters. It is no accident that just up the road is a place called Early Winters.

You can look up the test scores on the Washington Superintendent of Public Instruction.

Outstanding library system in North Central Regional Library.

I would have lived there without any problems. Now my retired friends that live up there are usually go to Mexico for the winter. That does make it easier living up there.

Probably the best place in the world for cross-country skiing.
