Moving to Sedro Woolley, where to live???
Hello everyone, there is a good chance family of 3 (husband/wife/High School age son) will be relocating to Sedro Woolley area for job. I would welcome comments and input on recommended places to live and reason why. Looking at Sedro, Bellingham, Anacortes, Arlington, Stanwood, other areas??? Thank you!

Bellingham
My preference is Bellingham, being close to the water. Beautiful views of Bellingham Bay from lots of places around town. Lots of great activities. Good schools. A university town, gives a good mix of peoples and lots of things going on all the time.

Without knowing any particulars on what you prefer as a place to live, I'd live where you'd have to drive the least, Woolley. Woolley, Burlington, Mt Vernon, Arlington, Stanwood aren't much different, except the latter two require half hour drives to Woolley, but are a half hour closer to Everett and Seattle. Anacortes has saltwater marinas and nearby beaches but distance from Woolley and mass shopping. Bellingham is a lot bigger than all the others but is also 30 minutes to Woolley.

I'd just live in Sedro.
Housing isn't too pricey in the area, compared to the others Jiff listed.

I would probably pick Bellingham. I live in the Stanwood zip code but an actually west of Arlington. Today gas was 2.69/gal. probably not a great bargain for a 40 mile one way drive.
Sedro Wolley is a small town and is pretty old but there is also some new construction. One thing you have to be careful of is that several years ago they passed a law that roofs in the area had to be able to withstand a 50lb snowload. When you are looking at propeprty in the area, be very careful that you don't end up with a problem.
Good luck with your move.
