Default Lake Stevens vs Bangor (Silverdale)

Im currently military living in Magnolia. Unfortunately for me and my family the ft lawton housing is being shut down and we must move out. Our choices for military housing is either Lake Stevens or Bangor base in Silverdale. Couple things im concerned about, first is the schools. From research neither elementary schools in the areas quite compare to the school my kids currently attend (Lawton). I do understand the Lake Stevens school district and even Central Kitsap as a whole has done well compared to Seattle. But individually when im looking at the specifics school (Mt. Pilchuck and Clear Creek) they seem to be not as highly ranked, especially compared to Lawtons high ranking. So this is a BIG concern to me to go from an excellent school in the top 100 elementary schools to ones in the 400 and 800 range. My other concern is I will still be working in downtown Seattle, so the commute from either direction seems quite daunting.

As much as i would love to stay in Magnolia its just not possible, so Im hoping to get some feedback about the areas and which you think is the better of the two. And if you know anything about the 2 schools that you can share i would really appreciate it.

TIA
