Default Moving to Forks, WA

My husband and I are planning on moving to Washington (he wants to move to Forks). We currently own a sign shop in Tennessee and will probably open one up in Forks. I was curious if anyone from that area could tell me if there is a want or need for this sort of business. Also any information on the area other than; it rains a lot, it is a small town, and all the other basic warnings that are given out.

Thanks for the help!

Everybody in Forks who needs a sign probably already has one.

Forks is delightful. It's also extremely tiny, and is still suffering from the close of most of the timber industry some years ago. This is not "a going concern". I agree with the posters who said anyone who wants a sign probably already has one or can make one for themselves.

I'd recommend that you check City-Data.com -- upper lefthand corner of every page here -- and check populations in Washington, and find larger towns or small cities that aren't so isolated. Besides the lack of income and inaccessibility to income-producing locations, Forks offers the rainiest weather in the United States with rain expected daily, all year, some 140 inches or so. That's over 13 FEET of rain per year.
