Default Twisp

Been looking into Twisp and so far I'm liking what I've read. Does the town have mainstreet/downtown district at all? (even if its small). Is it very walkable there? (other than the massive snow in the winters).

Any general thoughts about the area, culture, etc?

thanks, this is a great forum!

I'll save you one point of correction before you even get to it: the river and valley, etc. are pronounced METT-how rather than METH-ow. Although it would stun me severely if 'Crystal Methow' jokes hadn't gotten old there five years ago, and for that to sound right you need to mispronounce it.

I don't think there's much to Twisp; too small. Pretty area. We stayed with some friends up there in their cabin along the river, and enjoyed it a lot.

Twisp is a lovely area, stunning scenery and tons of great outdoor rec ops (hiking, snowmobiling, etc), many people do make their homes there but you have to be searching for a certain amount of solitude and remoteness.
