Nice to know I would be safer in Tacoma than I would in Tulsa, OK.

You all are reading it wrong
Tacoma is supposedly the 47th safest place to live.

Quoted from the site "The list starts with the safest cities and ends with the most dangerous."

I think this list has as much to do with local reporting procedures as it does safety. I would not put too much trust in it.

The problem is that Tacoma is 47th from the wrong end of the list. Number 47 from the top of the list is Fargo, ND. Tacoma is 324th of 371 on the safest cities list.

oic, sorry dyslexia didnt kick in for me. I was reading it the correct way and was assuming it was actually 47th(didnt look obviously, lol).

Why not just come out and say its the 324th safest city out of the 371 rated? The way the post was created makes it seem like its horrible there. And lots of places are obviously not listed.
Not a very useful topic IMO.

Sorry, if Tacoma was the 47th safest place to live, then St Louis would be the #1 safest city to live in

LOL!

Okay, just get a bullet proof vest, then it will be safe Sorry, it wouldn't have helped that poor lady who got her head blown off by her boyfriend at JJ's deli on McKinley Avenue.

I think I'm seeing a trend with Tacoma residents, both current and former. They seem to WANT Tacoma to be a dangerous town. This is the feeling I'm getting from them.
