I've searched the web and can't find anything other than learning Ralston is now a ghost town.

There was a bombing range there during the second World War and I'd like info of *any kind* about that. Perhaps there is info about an air base in that area...can't find that either. Hope someone will help me.

In the 1940's, there were a number of airbases in eastern Washington that may have used the site.

Ellensburg AAF
Ephrata AAF
GEIGER AAF (Spokane)
Moses Lake AAF
Spokane AAF (later Fairchild)
Walla Walla AAF
Yakima AAF

Selections of target ranges was rather adhoc in those days and there were lots of places they shot at targets on the ground or dropped bombs, most of them dummies but they dropped live ones once in a while too.

Your best bet for further info is probably the McCord Air Museum
