I don't know anything sorry. But I am very curious. Have you experienced any hauntings there?

If I were in your shoes, I would expect that your question has a slim-to-no chance of finding an answer in this way -- and I'd start by contacting Yelm's City Hall, the city records section which holds birth, marriage and death records. I'd start the fascinating search for info there.

With that date of death, then I'd contact the Nisqually Valley News for an obituary which might have been published.

I would also contact Thurston County records, checking the recorded history of the house which might offer some additional leads.

You'll have the person's age from the death information, so you can do the math and contact local high schools to see if there's a yearbook picture.

There might be additional public information available through the newspaper, Chamber of Commerce, City Hall, churches, etc., and the fun of finding out is the adventure of following your own creativity! Have fun!

I think I would start by talking to the neighbors. (Maybe that is how you got his name.) I'd also go to the library and to the newspapers in your area to do a search of their archives. This might be a sensitive area, but you might want to consider looking for others in your area with that same last name and contact them. For me, it would depend on what other info I found out along the way and how comfortable I felt about it. (In other words, I'd go with my gut feeling on this one.) You could go to the county offices (or search online - depending on how your county is set up) and search to see who has owned this property in the past.

Search Intelius - it will show you that name - age - and possible relatives names in that area. Anything beyond that you will have to pay for.

Do an online search at the Washington State digital archives - death records.

Search using the last name and only the first letter of the first name. You will find other similar names that could help in your search. Search within Washington - don't limit to city and state. (Even Oregon)

When I did this I found both Tony's and Troy's - with middle R's.
