Default Bremerton- Jackson Park

My husband is in the Navy and our family will be transferring to Bremerton soon. He will be working at the Naval Hospital and our daughter will be in elementary school so we were considering living in the Jackson Park housing area since they are all so close together, but after reading some things I've started to reconsider. It sounds like some parts of Bremerton are not the best to have a family in. Is anyone familiar with the Jackson Park housing? Is it an area we need to avoid or is that part of Bremerton ok? I know there are several posts on Bremerton already, but I'm a little confused as to which areas people say are not the best. Thanks for any info.
