Default Cloudiest areas/towns in SUMMER

I am interested in getting a place in the NW, either around Portland or Seattle or along the coast......
I love the mist, & the overcast weather, I HATE sun. What I want is a place to go to in the summer, but everywhere talks about how nice & sunny it is then. You can have that anywhere. I have been on drives along the coast several times & visted the cities, but I really do not know the area that well.
I probably do not want to have to deal with the extra hassle of dealing with ferries so would prefer driving access if an island.
Do any natives out there know of places that are cloudy in the summer - fog is good too. My husband would like to be on the water.

Suggestions please??

Probably the best bets in Washington would be on the northern coast, say Forks:

or Moclips:
.

Better would probably be someplace like Juneau, Alaska:

Forks isn't on the water, but it certainly is overcast, rainy and foggy. Has the reputation of the rainiest town in WA.

If you want water (ocean), try Moclips, Copalis Beach, Pacific Beach or Taholah.

You might like the Aberdeen/Hoquiam area.

The locals in Hoquiam say: "A good day in Hoquiam is any day it isn't raining".
