Doubtful.

Though I would have paid a .10 extra tax on my latte to fund schools, as was initiated (but voted down) a few years back.

If it's an arena for the Sonics to play in, hell no, Let the owners pay for it...wait, I moved, I wouldn't have to pay it.

I'd gladly pay quadruple the tax.

Hah! I misread that! I thought the OP said "arts arena" so I was sitting here thinking out a post to respond that if everybody's so willing to pay that half percent on Safeco Field, then why not support "fine arts" in the Seattle area too by paying a similar tax.

But now that I realize what's going on, I'm with everybody else. NO WAY! As magrack says, if the Sonics want a new arena, then let the owners pay for it!

I'm anxious to hear from those of you who do live there think about it, though.
