Default Foodie advice - Monroe, Maltby, Bothell etc
Hello Kenmore-to-Monroe area locals.
I'm coming home for a visit after a decade away, and I'm sure the area has changed beyond recognition. I'm looking for some tips on stuff to do, especially where to eat. Plan to meet Seattle friends at halfway points - any favorite restaurants / hangouts along that stretch of road from Monroe to Kenmore? Mostly hoping to find cool places for coffee / breakfast and great Thai / Chinese / Korean etc for dinner. Or any small local groovy dinner joint. Hoping for unique local places, not chain restaurants.
Any other ideas for fun stuff to do? I'll be there from June 9 to June 16 2009.

Thanks for any advice you can offer.

The Maltby Cafe has great breakfasts!
