Default Looking for land . . .

Hi everyone,

We are looking to relocate out of So. California and are seeking a secluded piece of property. If anyone knows of an area in Washington mod cut:, please let us know!

-10++ acres (the more the merrier)
-REMOTE! Far from neighbors, main road
-175K max (preferably way less)
-Horse friendly
-Farming friendly w/good soil -- we need to provide hay for our 5 horses and food for people types, too.
-Enough rain for crops

Thanks for any input!

HHR

Look on a website called Northwest Real Estate. It is the MLS listings for Oregon, WA and Idaho.

Western WA NO WAY Eastern WA possibly without a home Idaho better chance.

Happyhorseranch,

You should find yourself a Realtor who can locate suitable properties for you. I just checked the MLS for listings with your criteria and found 50 properties. Most of them were in North Eastern Washington, in the general region of the towns Oroville, Curlew and Republic. A Realtor familiar with that part of Washington should be able to find you what you're looking for.
Good luck for your venture.

You might want to check out the climate zone maps in the "Western Garden Book" by Sunset. The maps are online at Sunset climate zones: Pacific Northwest - Sunset.com but with less detail. There are usually older copies at used book stores and thrift stores. If you plan on growing vegetables you'll have better luck if you stay away from the coldest zone.
