Does Sequim have a soft sandy beach? (Aberdeen, Ocean Shores: things to do, friendly)

Hi all. We are thinking to visit with kids this summer and loved Fort Wardon State park. The beach was amazing. Does Sequim have a beach like that around anywhere within 15 mins or so?? Thanks so much!

The beaches here (I am in Sequim for the weekend) are kind of a mix, but the beach at the spit is pretty sandy. There is also a petting zoo and other kid friendly things to do within a reasonable distance, although Sequim is generally thought of as an older community. If you want huge sandy beaches you need to look toward Ocean Shores or the Aberdeen area, where there is less rock and more fine sand on the beaches.
