Sounds like a convenient location. You'll love being that close to the mall. There's lots of other types of shopping and conveniences nearby too. You'll be close to work. It's a busy and congested area but you're used to that. You'll have the opportunity to be close enough to downtown Seattle to do things there too.
You'll probably just want to stay in your immediate area though. How many times do you venture into downtown Los Angeles now? ...it's probably the same type of thing. You know, "man, I don't want to hassle the traffic and the parking going into Seattle." ...etc. However, you're close enough to go into Seattle every now and then for events --i.e. concerts, sports events, festivals at the Seattle Center, downtown shopping, etc.
