Default ferry-edmonds to kingston?

Thinking about taking the ferry from edmonds over to kingston. I don't want to take the car, is there shopping or restaurants within walking distance from the ferry? Any beaches or parks for the kids.

Deep_Vee will become famous soon enough
There are a few restaurants and shops over on that side within walking distance, but Kingston is very small.

It's a neat place to ride over and have lunch, walk down to the Marina, explore for an hour or two, but probably not enough for a whole day. Truth be told, ride over to Kinston, have lunch, and then ride back and spend the day walking around Downtown Edmonds...where there is a beach, lots of shops, etc.

Good Luck.

Too bad the two restaurants near the Kingston ferry with views were lost. One to the wrecking ball and one to fire. Up not too far on the left is a sports bar with decent food. A little further is a brew pub with food. Not sure if children are allowed. Another couple hundred yards up on the right is a sports bar/restaurant that serves breakfast.

There's a nice grassy park without a beach right at the terminal. There's a sandy beach just to the north of the terminal, but I don't know if it's public.
