Default Things to do in the Longview-Kalama-Woodland area?

I recently moved to Kalama with my dad after living in Las Vegas for four years. I'll be starting school at LCC or PCC in just over a month. But for right now im kind of bored, and im wondering, what are some fun things to do in the area?

Stop and get a burger at the Burger Bar from my brother Husky and former HS algebra teacher, Mr. Merz.

Go out to the volcanic national park.

Duck down to Portland and do city stuff.

I grew up in Longview and hated it. As far as things to do, it depends on what you're into. I spent most of my time at the lake or Reid's (a music venue in the tiny downtown area). I'm the opposite of you, I just moved from Washington to Needles, like an hour-ish away from Vegas. Kalama has some good restaurants, one place Elvis ate at or something. Also, at LCC watch out what crowds you fall into. There are a lot of crappy people that go there. Or just hang out on campus. I mean, there's good people as well but there kind of few and far between. At least that's how it was a few years ago.
Anyways, fun things to do:
Check out downtown Longview
Go to the port in Kalama, they have a nice walking trail and river access
Walk around Lake Sacajawea in Longview
Check out the restaurants
See if Reid's is still around
Get out of Longview/Kalama and hit up the coast, Portland, the Gorge...the pacific NW is gorgeous
Stay out of Kelso

I grew up in Kalama. Pretty nice town if you're into loggin', shootin', muddin' and anything else that ends in in'... so basically if you're hick. Although luckily, others are trapped there as well whom you can commune with. Kalama can be tolerable if you can leave every once in a while. Take the advice above. Hang out in bigger cities as much as possible and go out and enjoy all that the PNW has the offer. It's a beautiful place.
