Default Top Car Theft Cities, Yakima?

Just read on Yahoo news that Yakima was one of the top ten cities for cars stolen. I can understand the other larger cities, especially being close to Mexico, but Yakima?
Top ten metro areas by per capita auto theft rate

  1. Las Vegas/Paradise, Nev.
  2. Stockton, Calif
  3. Visalia/Porterville, Calif.
  4. Phoenix/Mesa/Scottsdale, Ariz.
  5. Modesto, Calif.
  6. Seattle/Tacoma/Bellevue, Wash.

  8. Fresno, Calif.
  9. Yakima, Wash.
10. Tucson, Ariz.

The most recent rankings released in April of this year have Yakima even higher at #3:

2. Laredo, TX
3. Yakima, WA
