Yeah, that little house that the phone bank operated out of sat on the hillside overlooking I-5 and Lake Union for the longest time. I think it's finally gone now - replaced with condos.

Very good movie. True story too as I recall.

Trouble in Mind, an Alan Rudolph film released in 1985, and starring Geneviene Bujold, Kris Kristopherson, and Divine, was filmed in Seattle, and the Seattle Asian Art Museum in Volunteer park served as the gangster's mansion.

A John Wayne movie McQ was filmed in Seattle I think. There's a car chase that takes place on a beach and I don't know where it was filmed but it looked like it might be around Ocean Shores or Pacific Beach.

Yeah, I remember that. As I recall, they did film some sequences here, but the opening sequence - where the sub pulls into a misty remote-looking location - they tried to film here but at the time we were having uncharactistically sunny weather and it didn't fit the mood the director was looking for - so they finally went up to Alaska to shoot that scene.

Note dreary enough here in Western Washington - how's that for BAD timing?
LOL

This has been an interesting thread to read! The reason this caught my eye, I had a guy ask me if there were any movies filmed in Bellingham. I really don't know!? I know they do indie films around here, but as for major movies I am stumped. But this was a very interesting read and a great list of movies around all of Wa I didn't know! Thank you all!

A more recent one, about a K-9 dog. Ace Of Hearts. I haven't seen it yet.

Um...An officer and a Gentlemen, Disclosure, Twilight, An Indian Summer, Double Jepordy, Practical Magic, and Walking Tall. Was anyone around for the filming of these? I was there on Whidbey Island during the filming of An Indian Summer and got to meet some of the people working on that movie. My brothers best friend was one of the extras in An Officer and a Gentlemen. Some of the others I have mentioned here I heard were filmed there but could be further north. I know Practical Magic was filmed in Coupeville (They paid the residents there to paint the town white for the movie).
