Question Which Place is the Most Cloudiest in Western Washington?

I'm looking for the most Cloudiest place in Washington, when I get to move there in June. And I was wondering if Bellingham is more Cloudier than down around Olympia and Aberdeen?

So from my question ... "Which Place is the Most Cloudiest in Western Washington?"

Bellingham?
Olympia?
Aberdeen?
Vancouver?
Centralia?
Raymond?
Shelton?
Forks? ( I'm almost certain Forks would be, but and what about my means of finding a rented place to live and work in Forks if so?)

Knowing me, I am different from other's and I'm tired of the Sunshine. I want to be where it is cloudy the most out of the year.

Thanks for any answers and letting me be in Washington when I get there!

I'm from Sac, and is it the sunshine or is it the heat that gets to you? Like a reverse S.A.D?

You probably won't find a lot of clouds anywhere during the summer, but during the winter the clouds will be where the rain is. Check out this link, it's a precip map. The closer you get to the coast or the mountains the wetter it is.

Okay, here are the charts directly from the respective City-Data web pages:

Bellingham:

Olympia:

Aberdeen:

Vancouver:

Centralia:

Raymond:

Shelton:

Forks:

So, it appears you're right, Forks looks like the place you want to be for cloudy days.

As far as finding places to rent and a job? ...heh! I'm thinking, good luck! Forks is a depressed little town and with the few logging and timber opportunities left, I'd imagine that there's really not much to do there except work at the correctional facility that's located nearby.

Thanks.

Excellent map, dreamer! I've seen that before and then couldn't find it when I wanted it. I'll bookmark it this time. Thank you!

Now for your statement that "you won't find a lot of clouds anywhere during the summer." What??? Yes, summers are less cloudy but it's not like it is clear most summer days in western washington. Again, I don't want to get into that argument where the flames start flying again but the 50+ years I spent in western Washington, I've seen plenty of summers where we saw very little sun.

Again, I know I'll get flamed for this statement but summer in western Washington is the last week in July and the first two weeks in August. So where most places get at least three months of summer, western Washington gets three weeks of summer.

*puts on flame retardant suit*

Ok, let 'em rip.

Thanks.

Both. I prefer Cloudiness (The Sunshine is too bright and everything looks stark and irksome to me.) and not higher than 75 degrees. When it's above 75 to 85, rather warm and very inconvenant to me. After it gets above 85, then I think it is already in the 100 degrees. Already feels like flames on me, when it goes past 85 degrees. When I'm really exerting myself on manual labor stuff, even in the 60's degrees gets feeling discomforting to me as too warm for me.

I've also noticed myself seeming to have like having a reversed S.A.D. I find myself having a dislike of the Sunshine and the temperatures above 75 degrees. Opposite to others getting Depressed of Cloudiness, where I get Depressed of the Sun and not of the Cloudiness. I would think so.

Well? I see Raymond and Aberdeen ... (The Grays Harbor Area) come in second place.

I will arrive in Washington on June Tuesday 5 into my first inquiry Centralia's Chamber of Commerce. I will then take Highway 12 to Aberdeen following and hope to start finding something in the Grays Harbor County. I'm hoping here, until I might get better leads for Forks. Or Hoquiam or Montesano or Cosmopolis and so on. If that be the case. If things are still not working out, I'll still try to find something around Olympia or Centralia if I can.

Those where interesting Graphs. Thanks!

As the charts show, there isn't a whole lot of difference provided you stay out of the rain shadow of the Olympics. Even there, there are plenty of clouds - they've just dropped enough of their moister on the mountains to not be saturated to overflowing

We'll most likely still have a place for sale in Tacoma:

Of course, if you REALLY want cloudy, you're looking in the wrong place:

Juneau, Alaska. You also don't have to worry about overheating:

How did I ever miss this? I was trying to check this out years ago and thought Juneau wasn't cloudy enough to go there.

I'm committed to going to Washington right now, but I guess if somewhere I get to Washington and still find it isn't satisfying my days cloudy and cool, I hope I can then think of Juneau later on and make my next moving up to this place. So it will be up to how well Washington deals with me and what I would like to see and have from Washington.

Based on my experience, Forks wins.

I've never seen it in full daylight; nobody has. *grin*

Finding a job in Forks might be the most difficult task in your quest.

Not much there, and I'm of the impression that if you're not native to the area or not related to someone who can hire you, it's not going to happen.

The folks are not unfriendly, but they always gave me the impression of being clannish; more so than any other place I've ever been.

Kind of like the reputation that Maine has.
