A smaller community(>10,00) with more rain, less snow?
Helllloooooooo! I am a 37 y.o. single mom . My 12 yr. old son and I would like to find somewhere.....quiet (hee). Seriuosly, we both are quiet , and need to be where there is less people, noise, etc. I know it's asking a lot, but we both have different issues as to why. He has a very mild form of Autism, but sometimes typical "city noise" causes tears. We do like people, but prefer to just be home, and left alone..if that makes sense. We love the rain, but understand it is Washington, so there will be snow...but less is better. Since I am a homebody, nitelife and museums and such are not important. Maybe a movie house and some restaurants would be nice!! Somewhere by the coast, pehaps? Please, oh PLEASE tell me where this magical place might be!!!

Aberdeen/Hoquiam, Longview/Kelso, Shelton, Port Angeles, Port Townsend. Not a lot of jobs available right now, though. Best of luck.

This may not be an issue as you mentioned that your son has a mild form of Autism. However if access to medical centers and professionals "fluent" in the treatment of Autism will be a requirement for you, some of the aforementioned areas are a bit off the beaten path in terms of access to such medical care. Perhaps something to keep in mind as well as you refine your search possibilities?

Gig Harbor is a great mid-route between these. Great schools, medical care, hospital, easy access to Seattle and Tacoma, very little snow, nice and quiet!

Thanks for your replies I've been looking up info on the places mentioned, and Gig Harbor sounds perfect for us. From the picutres I've seen, it looks beautiful. I only wish I had the money to move tomorrow
Thanks, again!
