Indeed--for those few who can gain admittance. I knew a couple pre-nursing hopefuls during my own UW years; it was a very difficult program to get into, but the nursing equivalent of a Northwestern MBA or Caltech Physics degree if one succeeded.

This is right on target - you need Alaska for your tastes, jobs will be much better pay and easier to get + it is a great place to live.
Hurry, Nov 1 deadline for application for MS @ UAA UAA, School of Nursing Student Resources
Ketchikan is a better choice for your climate desires if they offer your program.
Alaska has a wide variety of climates including pretty moderate but very wet Juneau. The perks and people living in AK is very beneficial + it is a state that is not gonna fall into the hands of the Left Coast "Me-Too" propaganda. You will find WA becoming very California like in over-spending and increased regulation and social problems. This WILL NOT happen in AK, I guarantee it! They have a true state identity, and abundant resources (both people and products).

seriously? Okay, I have the PERFECT place for you.
Anchorage or Juneau Alaska.
Oh, it appears I am not the only one that thinks you need Alaska. They do have a great nursing school here too.

If you want wind and rain then you want the coast, as others have said.
Oregon Coast Community College in Newport, OR has a nursing program.
