Thanks! I wanted to take so many more than I actually did, from all over the park and not just that area on this beautiful day, but the batteries in my camera died and I didn't have a spare pair on me.

That's some lovely blue water! Nice shots. I still haven't made it to Discovery Park any of the times I've been in Seattle. From your pictures, you'd never guess it was so close to a large city.

Discovery park is incredible, you need to take the trip from the B-ham to check it out.

Discovery Park is the largest park in the city of Seattle. It is HUGE! Take an entire day and just walk its trails, see all it has to offer. It is a fairly diverse park. Lots of wooded areas, the sand cliffs, the beach, the ponds, the fields, the little creeks... it really is a very nice park!

I was at the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival on Sunday. If you have a chance, be sure to check it out. Tulips are in bloom right now. There are two large gardens (Roozengaarde & Tulip Town) and acres of fields to see. Daffodils too. La Conner, Anacortes, Deception Pass and other cool side trips nearby.

Here are a couple of more shots from Sunday. This time 10 miles west of the tulip fields from Mt. Erie on Fidalgo Island in Anacortes. This view is to northish with the San Juan Islands and the NW part of Anacortes in the distance.

This shot is to the SE. The tulip fields can be slightly made out through the haze as can Glacier Peak, barely.

Nice shots! I'm hoping to bike down to see the tulips within a few days. I've been having problems with an Achilles tendon, though.
