Default Help needed with relocation

My wife and I are looking to relocate somewhere in northeast Washington State from Colorado to enjoy a slower pace of life. I've spoken to many real estate agents but they just don't get what we are looking for, giving us listings that are far from what we want. We have 2 criteria, lots of snow in winter and a river to enjoy during summer. I thought photos might better represent what we are looking for. Can anyone suggest what area we should be looking in that can give us the 2 different lifestyles we are looking for?

Kettle Falls, Colville, Metaline Falls, Newport, Ione, Usk, Winthrop, Republic, Mazama, Omak, etc., etc.

There are a lot of places in NEWA where you can scratch both itches...some years snow may be a little light, some years you think you'll never see the ground again...

Thanks skinem, I've found locations with river frontage but just wasn't able to find out what the snowfall at those places was. I'll start looking in the locations you suggested....

Take a look at this link...it's not all inclusive, but it's got a lot of snow/temp info for a lot of WA locations...

Even if you're not "in" the snow, you wouldn't be far from it for skiing/snowboarding, etc. My sister-in-law's family is in Newport. They really like it. Once a month run to Spokane for Costco and such and they're good! :~) D

That'e exactly what I'm looking for. The first photo I posted (with the snowmobile at the front) is my home and the second one is just a random photo I found which shows what I'm looking for in summer.
I'll look around the area you suggested.
