Default Cabin

Love that cabin too. We have 27 acres two miles East of Tonasket and want a cabin like that off the grid.

Do you have to have a permit if you build your own cabin in Okanogan?

Hello All, Does anyone know how Okanogan rates as far as Allergens? Although Austin, TX is a beautiful area...The ENT offices are always full and a lot of folk's walk around in a head fog due to the constant attack on their sinuses. Looking for a new place to retire and pursue my passions.

I don't know of any actual data off-hand, but I can tell you that things like mold and mildew spores are going to be very low on the meter - Okanogan County's average annual rainfall is about 9-11 inches. But, that makes things like pollen, and especially dust, dust mites, etc. more of a problem.

I grew up in Okanogan County and never really had any allergies, then moved to Lewis County (on the coast) and had terrible spring allergies. Then moved to Wenatchee, and they went away again! YMMV
