The road to Hurricane ridge is open on and off depending on the weather, and could be closed as late as May since it gets to over 5,000 feet. They try to be open Fri-Sun even in winter when possible. Some of the trails may not be open until after July 4th. A few years ago we went in June and 15' of snow blocked our favorite hike. Since we expect record cold down to 10-13F the next few days the heavy snow last night may be slow to melt, but hopefully 3 weeks is enough.

Not a national park, nor on the Olympic Peninsula, but Moran State Park on Orcas Island can't be beat! Call ahead as far as possible before heading up to make sure there is an availability. Try to get a spot on Mountain Lake if possible, if not then on Cascade lake. Either way, excellent hiking, scenary, great view from the tower on the top of mt constitution in the park (which you can either hike or drive to) plus the whole rest of the fabulous island to explore. Great place!

There will be snow in March - it's still winter. You'll be wanting fleece and a good rain proof shell
