Eagle Newspapers, Inc. - Classifieds

Keep tabs of this every day. It would help to be in the area as well. You're talking about a very unpopulated area (relatively) here.

Wow, that's rough. Not a lot of people down there, and from what I can gather from a friend of mine who lives there, they don't spend a lot of time on the Internet. If it were me, I'd check with a real estate agency in Omak and call them on the phone, and let them know you want to rent, and see if they know of any properties that are up for rent.

I lived there for a year in 2008-2009, and can tell you for sure that, unfortunately, you will likely have a rough time finding anything. If anything comes available - I would advise that you jump on it ASAP, since rentals move fast in that area.

A word of warning - I don't think I can use proper names on here, but there is at least one HORRIBLE rental management company in Okanogan. I am a professional with a fairly young family when we rented from them, it was obvious that they were used to dealing with migrants and "less than reputable" renters - because they certainly treated us that way.

Just keep it in mind that some landlord's agents may not be ideal there...

EDIT#2: Oops, I just realized that this is an old thread - I just felt the need to complain, I guess.
