Come over to Silverdale in Kitsap County and go to Amish Touch. It has gorgeous furniture made by Amish folks; they do NOT ship their furniture, but it's close enough that you could come over with a truck and shop. Their quality is first class, and their prices aren't over the moon, but you won't be wasting your money on throwaway furniture. Just a thought....

Your best bet is to buy used furniture if you want to save money. Check out craigslist.

I agree with the Craigslist suggestion... there is an incredible amount of slightly used furniture for sale. My husband and I were on a budget when we bought our first home and furnished 2000 SF with 95% used stuff, that looked new.
If you have money to spend, I think costco home store in Kirkland is worth the trip, excellent quality at a good price.

I always check Craigslist first as well. I also check thrift stores, flea markets, and other second hand places. IKEA is also a good option for cheap. I find that Craigslist and second hand sometimes you get better quality than what you could afford new with similar quality. If you don't mind retro you can also get good deals. Dear husband and his od roomate got a mint condition 70s era sofa and love seat for $90 from ebay. When they got tired of the brown flowers they bought slipcovers and the sofas looked great. I also like the environmental benefit of buying second-hand. No outgassing in your house and it is a form of recycling b/c the item was used before by someone else.

I ended up going with Anna's Home Furnishings. They had gorgeous furniture at low prices, and good financing! I know someone in these past few pages suggested it, thanks!

Great, that was my wife's suggestion (NoplacelikeWA). She used to do some side work for them. We have some very nice pieces from Anna's in our house here in San Antonio.
