Default Best place to get reasonably priced / attractive furniture?

Mainly I'm looking for a bed, a couch, and a coffee table. We want them to be nice looking but affordable. We aren't looking for bottom of the barrel stuff but we don't want to blow a fortune either. I posted this on the General U.S. forum but there are way too many people on there and I never get a reply. You guys on this forum are so much more helpful I think I'll just stick around here for all my needs.

I live just outside of Seattle, WA in Lynnwood.

How about IKEA? I know there's a store in the Seattle area, but I'm not sure where it's located.

Yeah, Ikea isn't too bad for price and quality but it's located on the "other side" of town from where you are.

It's located between Renton and Kent. Take the 180th exit off of SR167 and go west for a few blocks.

I'll think some more and see if I can remember some place good in the north end.

Oh, if you are going to be in the south end, Macys has a clearance center where you can pick up some good bargains. It's in the Southcenter area of Tukwila. They also have a regular furniture store close by.

Try the new Ashley store in Mt. Vernon. A little drive for ya- but I've seen their furniture and it's a lot nicer than IKEA and around the same prices.

Oh, there's an Ashleys up there? I agree, they're good. I know some neighbors of mine who bought some stuff from the Ashley store in St. George UT. It looks like good quality stuff at reasonable prices.

Yes, my newlywed sister in law got a living room set- it looks gorgeous and she said it was the best deal they'd found from Bellingham to Seattle.

They were in Chapter 11 bankruptcy. That was a couple of years ago. Were they bought out?

Levitz is cheap stuff that will fall apart quickly. My mom bought a living room set from there and in no time, the couch stuffing got lumpy and the frame deteriorated. The coffee and end tables held up ok. Not worth the $$, IMO.

I'm not sure if they're still in business, but there used to be a furniture store in an old warehouse in Everett, just east of I-5 *googles* oh, they are still open: Designer's Furniture Warehouse They had good prices and a large selection.

The Macy's warehouse in Southcenter has great deals, as was mentioned. And I think IKEA is worth the drive at least once a year, if only for the meatballs. Mmmm. IKEA may not be top of the line, but it is fairly priced.

You can get some good deals on craigslist, too.
