Wrong quote?

I posted earlier I forgot that a lot of sports event schedules are planned years in advance.

But that still has nothing to do with Australia having difficulty winning a FIFA World Cup bid.

One big hurdle that Australia is having in its bid for the World Cup is because it falls in the middle of winter that also means it falls in the middle of our other football seasons.
This will cause a major interuption to these football codes and there is a lot of bickering between the AFL (Aussie Rules), NRL (rugby league) and Soccer Australia about availability of venues etc.

Also Australia isn't exactly big in the soccer ranks so that's another thing going against us.

That last match, Australia got spanked by Germany;
2 attempts on the German net, but Germany had 16 attempts on Australia's net.
Score 4-0 Germany.

Oh well at least Australia has qualified in most almost every world cup.. I think Canada only qualified once back in 1986.
