Albert Pike, along the Little Missouri river, is surrounded by the Ouachita Mts. and not for the clostrophobic at heart. At least that has been my experience there.

Personally I love the area and tragically 2 local families (Dads and Kids) were some of the victims. When I was younger we used to go camping for a weekend up there which is about 150 miles from my house. Always in the cooler time of year and always checked the weather. It is a beautiful area in the south part of west central Arkansas.

I have noticed over the past few years more than I used to how those rains seem to develop and nobody is able to track them unfortunately. I know I couldn't. This storm was supposed to happen in East Texas and Northern La and Southern Ark, passing that area and heading up into the Ouachitas.
