It may be Dec. 20, but Monday’s weather isn't looking anything like Christmas.
In fact, 11 News Meteorologist David Paul says we'll have unseasonably warm weather in the Houston area as the work week begins.
Monday will see a mix of sun and clouds, with lows in the upper-50s and highs in the low- to mid-70s. Tuesday’s highs are expected to climb to 80 degrees.
Warm temperatures will remain until late Christmas Eve, when a 30-percent chance for rain will drop temps and usher Santa into town on a cool breeze. This weekend, highs will be in the low-50s, and lows will dip into the 30s.
A high of 0.7C (33F) so far today and now slowly falling in a completely overcast sky. Only a slight thaw after the longest sub-zero spell here for nearly 20 years (only 4.5 days, but still!). No thaw in most of northern Britain though with afternoon highs again widely around -5C or below, similar to what would normally be the coldest night of the year. Perhaps not as cold as yesterday though. Here's an indication of how abnormal this weather is:
