25.5C, just starting to cool down after 25.6C earlier, the hottest we've seen so far. Sunshine pretty much all day.

Yeah, sounds strange to me to hear about the string of above average hot weather coming out of England -- if I can recall correctly, it seems to have been going on for a bit more than a couple of weeks.
Especially thinking of a maritime climate, it's surprising you guys could be getting a spell that much above seasonal, and for that long. You guys have similar averages in April to where I am (for instance, 14C/5C is today's average here) but so many 20C+ days in spring would be unusual in my climate.
Your Aprils must be really variable, since as far as I can tell, you said that April has been known to be just as snowy and cold as January there, and now this.
