Debated, procrastinated and waited.....

but figured would be fun to have one. Hopefully I get some help updating this thread. Not sure if I will be able to each day.

This thread is dedicated to all the storms for this entire month. We've been in an active pattern since November across the lower 48 and it looks like it will pick up even more now.

GFS6z showing 6 Events next 14 days.

2 Lake Cutters..
3 Clippers ...
1 Phased Clipper/Coastal Storm....

Todays Lake Cutter is in Quebec dropping snow and dragging a front with it in the Lower 48 with scattered rain showers.

Tomorrows Lake Cutter will produce a Blizzard with 8-16" of snow in the Central plains and Mid West and will drag a front across with Rains for the East.

Saturday Feb 6th a clipper stays north of the border but scattered snow showers around for northern tier U.S along with Lake Effect snows as the Trough starts to dig down in the East

The 8th time period is 1 we're watching close. Could be a biggy!

The 12th and 15th time periods featuring more clippers with snows in the northeast & Mid Atlantic.

*Anything past mid week is going to change*. If there is another Blizzard in the Northeast, we'll just use this thread.

Good to have them in one place, posts about them were scattered in the winter thread so were hard to follow unless you were checking the forum very frequently and carefully.

Yeah, after the 7th is when there's too much divergence. Models still trying to figure things out. 1 model has nothing for the 8th but a bomb for the 10th which buries Vermont. Lets see how it all plays out. Fun Fun!! Or headaches, Headaches.

Mondays Storm

GFS6z left. Euro00z right.

Euro says no to Mondays storm. Keeps them separate & the coastal is OTS. See the Clipper and the coastal on the right image? They stay separate, no merge.

GFS does merge them and has a snowstorm for southern New England.

But wait .............

Euro develops a coastal the next day while the Clipper waits to merge with that. So Euro DOES have a snowstorm but for Tuesday-Wednesday instead.

But wait ......... there's more.

GFS for Thursday 11th storm. Snow for NY, CT, MA, RI, VT, NH, ME

But wait ............. there's more!

Saturday 13th. Snow for NY, CT, MA, RI, VT, NH, ME

But wait .............. THERE'S MORE?

Monday the 15th.

GFS has snow for Ohio, PA, Philly, NJ, NY, CT, MA and New England.

So GFS pretty much saying buckle up, it's going to be a snowy week next week with Clipper & coastal after Clipper after Clipper!
