According to the book “Extreme Weather” (Burt-2008)…the record low in the Hawaiian Islands are:

Honolulu – 49 F (2/9/1981)
Hilo – 51 F (2/12/1910)
Kahului – 48 F (1/20/1969)
Lihue – 45 F (1/19/1946).

The text doesn’t list the locations (sea level or highland?).

The United States Virgin Islands are not listed. However, the lowest temp I ever saw was around 57 F (14-15 C) in another climate text. Considering the island location in the northeast Caribbean and the low latitude (17- 18 North)…I think anything under 55 F would really be a long shot. Who knows, though, maybe a highland area made it down below that.
